By Curtis Berleue (Sodus, NY) | It is with great disappointment that Mike Emhof Motorsports announces the cancellation of its sprint car events at Rolling Wheels Raceway Park for Sunday, September 24. Both the Patriot Sprint Tour and CRSA Sprints events have been removed from the schedule and will not be made up.
“After multiple attempts at contact, details for our season finale at Rolling Wheels were unable to be worked out,” stated owner Mike Emhof. “We had cars from all across the northeast planning on joining us, and I would like to apologize to both the teams and fans that we will no longer be running this event.”
The next American event for the Patriot Sprint Tour will be on Friday, September 22 at Outlaw Speedway, a challenge event with URC and ESS paying $5,000 to win. The series will then move east to continue the ‘Weekend of Money’ at the Fonda Speedway for the final event of 2017, the Kramer Williamson Memorial paying $5,073 to win.
Next up for the CRSA Sprints will be Friday, September 22 at the Fonda Speedway, followed by a return visit to Afton Motorsports Park on Friday, October 6. The season finale for the CRSA Sprints will be on Saturday, October 21 at Orange County Fair Speedway, part of the annual Eastern States Weekend.
