Patriots Sprints Work on Make-Up Dates; Albany-Saratoga Up Next

By Paul T. Harkenrider (Sodus, NY) | With rain already winning three of the first five Patriot Sprint Tour events, PST management and track owners from the Five Mile Point Speedway, Outlaw Speedway, and Woodhull Raceway are all working together to reschedule these events that were lost.

One event that has been rescheduled was last Saturdays rained out event at the Woodhull Raceway. That race has now been rescheduled to Saturday, June 11. This sets up another two-day weekend for Patriot Sprint Tour fans for both the American and Canadian Series as the tour heads to the Ohsweken Speedway on Friday, June 10.

The series next scheduled event will be the return to the Albany-Saratoga Speedway on Friday May 27. This is the first time since 2009 the series returns to the ‘Great Race Place’ in Malta, NY. Jason Barney, of Constantia, NY, won the event just over six years ago.

The following night, the tour will be making its first ever visit to the Fonda Speedway on Saturday, May 28 under new management in Pete Demitraszek. That will be the first of three stops PST will be making as they have scheduled events again on Saturday August 13, and Saturday, September 24.
