Harkenrider (Sodus, NY) | The A-Verdi Storage Containers Patriot Sprint Tour will be heading to the beautiful Finger Lakes Region of New York State this weekend hitting tracks at the newly named Outlaw Speedway (formerly called Black Rock) in Dundee, New York, on Friday May 6 and Canandaigua Motorsports Park on Saturday, May 7 with both shows paying $2,000 to win.
This will be the first of many appearances the Patriot Sprint Tour will be heading to the highly renovated Outlaw Speedway facility now owned by Tyler Siri. The Series will be returning to the Dundee Oval on Friday August 5, and then on Friday, September 23 for the first annual Outlaw Fall Nationals with that show paying $5,000 to the winner.
Outlaw Speedway has hosted more Patriot Sprint Tour sanctioned shows than any other race track in series history. This Friday will be the series’ 40th visit to the historic 4/10th mile D-Shaped Oval in Yates County. Jared Zimbardi will be heading into this weekend with a lot of momentum after winning both PST events a season ago.
Saturday, May 7, however will be the only time you will find the series at the Canandaigua Motorsports Park this season. This will be the 14th time the series will be visiting the “Land of Legends” dating back to July of 2003. After a five-year hiatus, this will be the second consecutive season the series will be returning to the big half mile. The most recent winner was Chuck Hebing previously on May 2, 2015, and has won at the speedway a total of five times under the PST Banner.
Grandstand Gates will be opening up at 5 p.m. and racing begins at 7 p.m. at both speedways this weekend. Both shows are also priced at $20.00 for the general admission.
