Patriot Sprint Tour Event at Penn Can Rained Out

Rich Vleck (Rochester, NY) | The Patriot Sprint Tour at Penn Can Speedway, sponsored by A-Verdi Storage, has been postponed for tonight. With the forecast calling for 80% chance of showers and thunderstorms beginning in the late afternoon and early evening, the decision was made early in anticipation of the weather due to the fact that teams will be travelling three to four hours to get to the track.

“It’s a really difficult decision to make by having to base it on the forecast but the fact of the matter is we have teams travelling a long distance to get here and the last thing we want is for them to make the trip for nothing”, said Promoter Dan Harpell.

Patriot Sprint Director Mike Emhof was grateful for the early decision. “We completely support the decision to postpone the show”, said Emhof. “It will save everyone a lot of money by not having to make the trip with such a high probability of rain”, he added.

“We are working with Mike and the Patriot group to come up with a date to reschedule this show that will work for everyone”, said Harpell.  “We will announce the date in the near future”, he added.

Patriot Sprint Tour action will continue Saturday Night at the Selinsgrove Speedway.  For more information, visit www.PatriotSprintTour.com.
