Patriot Sprint Tour Championship at Eriez Forced to Cancel

Rich Vleck, ROCHESTER, NY (September 6, 2011)- First it was rain that knocked out the final points race of the season, now ambulance availability has halted Patriot Sprint Tour action at Eriez.
The rain-delayed event scheduled for this Saturday, September 10 at Eriez Speedway has been cancelled. Following the rescheduling of the $2,011-to-win event it was discovered that the Speedway’s Ambulance Crew has a Pennsylvania state-mandated training session this weekend, making racing at the Hammett, PA this weekend impossible.
Because the only other date possible is Saturday September 17, the same date as the Canadian Sprint Car Nationals, Eriez’s final night will have to be run without the Patriot Sprint Tour.
The cancellation of the event locks up the 2011 PST Championship for Jared Zimbardi, the first of his career. In the process, Zimbardi also clinched the Bonnell’s Collision/ Fine Touch Collision King of the Western Swing Crown as well as the Original Pizza Logs Four Laps of Fame Dash Series.
Next up on the calendar for the Patriot Sprint Tour is the Canadian Sprint Car Nationals September 15-17. For more information, visit www.PatriotSprintTour.com.
